The Kleiner Kornigl, or simply Kornigl, is a 2,311-meter-high mountain in the Ilmen Ridge of the Ortler Alps. Its name is a Germanicization of the Latin cornu with the diminutive suffix -iculu, meaning "little horn."

Sturdy footwear and a head for heights are essential; otherwise, any experienced hiker can attempt the climb (be careful: rockfall from careless hikers is possible).

The Kleine Kornigl with its summit cross at 2311 meters is located in the Ilmenkamm of the Ortler Alps. We started the hike from the large parking lot at the Hofmahdtunnel. The ascent is feasible for every experienced mountaineer. A certain basic level of fitness is required and, as with every hike in the mountains, sturdy shoes. The last stretch along the ridge to the summit cross naturally requires a bit of concentration and a certain amount of surefootedness.
