The Cappella degli Alpini on Mount Cornizzolo is a small but significant place of worship located at about 1,260 meters above sea level. This chapel, dedicated to the Alpine troops, represents not only a spiritual but also a historical point of reference, as it was built in memory of the fallen of the First and Second World Wars, in particular the Alpine troops who fought on the Italian front.

The chapel is located along the path that leads to the summit of Cornizzolo, one of the most famous mountains of the Larian Triangle, and is an ideal destination for those who want a break during the hike, not only to admire the landscape, but also to reflect on its historical value. The path to reach the chapel is of medium difficulty and passes through woods, meadows and clearings, offering breathtaking views of Lake Como, Lake Lecco and other peaks of the Lombard Prealps.

The Cappella degli Alpini is a quiet and suggestive place, which also offers a panoramic view of Brianza and the surrounding mountains. It is particularly popular in spring and autumn, when the climate is mild and the surrounding landscape is particularly picturesque. After visiting the chapel, hikers can continue to the summit of Cornizzolo, which offers a spectacular view of the entire surrounding area.
