Very nice circular hiking trail (a good 11 km) on Vienna's local mountain: the way there is through the Beethovengang and the forest up to the Kahlenberg. The tower at the Stefaniewarte can be visited on weekends in the summer months. There is also a road and bus connection up the mountain, but hiking to enjoy the view is somehow nicer... At the top there is a restaurant, cafe, church, souvenir shop, church and of course a beautiful view of Vienna and the neighboring vineyards. The way back goes through the vineyards with a view of Vienna, past numerous Buschschänken, which invite you to stop off and taste wine on weekends in the summer months and when the weather is nice.
