A hike in the Princely Thiergarten is for me the most beautiful in the vicinity of Regensburg. Since, as already described, there are no trail markers and you can still look for the route itself and hike. Since there is no rest stop directly in the Thiergarten, one moves in a wonderful forest area,
it is good in the backpack drinks and snack, to have it. If you like to change the direction, because you discovered something special, be it wild animals, a feeding, an old tree population, here would be a compass and a good hiking map of use. But do not worry, you should not be able to get lost if you know something about the cardinal directions. South lies the Danube and many roads lead there. Aschenbrennermarter was formerly freely accessible, today unfortunately fenced and PRIVATE, perhaps one is lucky to meet someone and receives the invitation to look at the hunting lodge a little closer.
If you like walking on lonely paths and want to avoid a hustle and bustle on some routes, I can recommend the Princely Thiergarten.
