    The television tower St. Chrischona, also transmitting station St. Chrischona, is a 250 meters high television tower of the operating company Swisscom in the municipality Bettingen northeast of Basel.

    St. Chrischona is the 522 m above sea level. M. high local mountain of the nearby city of Basel and the westernmost and third highest mountain of the mountain range Dinkelberg. It is located in the Swiss canton of Basel-Stadt and the border with the Baden-Württemberg district of Lörrach and thus the border between Germany and Switzerland runs in the northeast, east and south via the high-elevation highlands.

      The Chrischonaturm is a unique selling point among the television towers due to its functional architecture, which places a water reservoir and the operating rooms halfway up the tower. The unusually high subsequent transmission mast means that you can see the tower from afar and also clearly recognize it. As a result, it serves as a visible destination for many a short evening tour. And those who don't shy away from the following marl path on a racing bike (it's in good condition and can be done without any problems) can combine a visit to the tower with several options to make a slightly longer tour. In the meantime, even the restaurant right next to the tower has reopened and is ideal for a short or longer break.
