Ciclismo

The Neckar-Enz position was one of the German Reich built between 1935 and 1938 fortress line in Baden and Württemberg. It ran from Eberbach to Besigheim along the Neckar and from Besigheim to Enzweihingen along the Enz, stretched over 86 km and covered 450 bunkers. The construction costs amounted to 12 to 15 million Reichsmark.

Anyone who chooses the Uferweg along the Neckar will stand in front of a locked gate. There is a bell there with the hint to ring it please. Soon after someone comes, opens the gate and guides you over the grounds of the community power plant Neckarwestheim to the other side. There you can continue your way along the shore.
So do not be put off, just because the gate is closed and you do not seem to get any further.
