Look at the Ev. City church St. Cyriakus Besigheim.
The Evangelical Church Besigheim is a Gothic church in Besigheim, whose oldest part, the choir, is dated to 1369 and which dates back to an older predecessor building. The church dedicated to St. Cyriakus was rebuilt several times over time. The most important artistic monument of the church is the carved high altar from the 16th century.

Opposite the church is the stone house, part of the Upper Castle, and was probably built around 1235. It was used as a house, granary or fruit box and in the 19th and 20th centuries as a prison. There is a large vaulted cellar under the stone house. Today the municipal music school is housed in the stone house.
In 2011, a Staufer stone was erected between the church and the stone house.

The Evangelische Stadtkirche Besigheim is a Gothic church building in Besigheim, the oldest part of which, the choir, dates back to 1369 and which goes back to an older predecessor building. The church, dedicated to Saint Cyriacus, has been rebuilt several times over the years. The most significant artistic monument of the church is the carved high altar from the 16th century.
The single-nave Gothic Protestant town church is located at the upper end of Besigheim's old town, just behind the Schochenturm. There was probably a Romanesque town chapel in the same place before. A church in Besigheim was first mentioned in a document in 1279. The choir of today's church was consecrated in 1383. In 1448 the nave was completed. The church was consecrated to Saint Cyriacus in 1484 at the latest. Between 1520 and 1529 the 13 meter high high altar, which has survived to this day, was erected in the church.
As early as 1524, a Lutheran pastor in Besigheim is said to have been ousted from the pulpit by order of the steward of Waldburg. The church was nevertheless reformed into a Protestant church between 1555 and 1557 in the course of the Reformation in the Margraviate of Baden.
The church building has been renovated and redesigned many times over the centuries. The entrance to the Käppele dates back to 1545, and the nave is said to have been re-roofed in 1570. In 1601 the organ was renewed, at that time the ceiling is said to have been paneled in white. In 1612 a new pulpit cover was procured. The choir is said to have been decorated with standing and lying grave monuments up to the 19th century, but these fell victim to the various transformations. In 1685 access to the sacristy was created.
The church was devastated by the French during the Palatinate War of Succession in 1693. All of the wooden furnishings (altars, pulpit, pews) burned with the exception of the high altar, but were subsequently recovered (organ 1699, pews until 1703).
