The Eifel view "Dreiländerblick" at Buchet is at an altitude of 615 meters above sea level and offers an impressive view to the southwest over Bleialf and the Alfbach valley to the Islek and the Ösling, beyond the Ourtal. Spotlight 1: Islek
Islek refers to an area in the West Eifel. It includes large areas of the Eifel district of Bitburg-Prüm and parts of the border areas of Luxembourg and Belgium. The area continues into the Ardennes and is known for its natural beauty and unique distant views. The name is derived from the former Franconian Ösling-Gau.

Focus 4: Alfbachtal
The "Alfbachtal", a nature reserve, is home to a unique flora and fauna. Even the European beaver and the black stork have resettled here.

The Luxembourgish part of the Ardennes is called Ösling. The area is about 450 to 550m above sea level. Characteristic are the deeply incised valleys such as the Sauertal. The highest elevation is 560m above sea level near Huldingen.
