Sint-Pietersplein is the largest square in the city of Ghent. The benches and posts in the square can be removed when, for example, the Half-fastenfoor comes. Cobblestones can be removed to drive circus tent pickets into the ground.

A number of prominent historic buildings are located on the square, including the Onze-Lieve-Vrouw-Sint-Pieterskerk and the Sint-Pietersabdij. There is an underground car park under the square.
