Official water sports rest area directly on a tributary of the Spree and right next to the public lido. No toilets, no water taps. Cyclists are also welcome to use the site. No registration required, no fence, just set up camp and camp for the night. A must-stop if you're cycling the Spree Cycle Path. The Spree is only 200 meters away, and this tributary has a lido right in front of the tent. From here on, the Spree Cycle Path upstream becomes truly enjoyable. In the warmer months, the beach bar serves a small menu from 12 p.m. until the evening. There are toilets next to it, and you can apparently get a key for them overnight from the landlord. (2025) There's a station for the RE1 regional express train towards Berlin right in Berkenbrück. I also saw a Schwalbe tube machine in Berkenbrück (2025).

I spent a night there during my tour of the Spree Cycle Path. Easy to find behind a hill near the sports field. It's well-maintained, with a trash can and a beach ❤️
The only thing I didn't see was a water tap or restroom.
