The Drutsky-Lyubetsky Palace was built at the end of the 19th century. on the site of the former palace of Scipio del Campo, designed by the Vilna architect Tadeusz Rastvorovsky in the classical style (other architectural historians claim that the architect was presumably Boniface Pavlovsky).

The initiator of the construction was allegedly either the son of Francis Xavier Drutsky-Lubetsky Alexander, or his grandson Vladislav.

The palace was built in the northern part of the city. The project of the palace in Shchuchin is related to the Petit Trianon Palace on the territory of Versailles, the residence of the French kings. Buildings have much in common in compositional construction and decorative decorations. The building consists of 2 floors, has a symmetrical composition, rectangular in plan. The palace is placed on a high plinth. In the center, the lower part with an attic is designed in the form of a loggia with two Ionic columns, on the sides there are two-story volumes decorated with pilasters. The facades of the building along the perimeter end with a cornice and a parapet with an atik in the center. Rectangular window openings are decorated with stucco moldings (sandriks). A wide staircase leads to the main entrance of the palace.
Now the restored palace, located on the shore of the lake, is certainly one of the "visiting cards" of the city. Currently, its building houses the State Educational Institution "Shchuchinsky Palace of Creativity for Children and Youth".

The museum room of the palace has three expositions:

    Salon of the princes Drutsky-Lyubetsky,
"Shchuchin in the context of world history",
Shchuchin is a city of aviators.

The expositions acquaint guests with the history of the Shchuchin land, its outstanding natives, architectural monuments of the 16th - early 20th centuries. During the tour, visitors can get acquainted with the Drutsky-Lyubetsky Palace, visit the theater salon and learn the love story of the young Maria Scipiodel Campo and Francis Xavier of Drutsky-Lyubetsky.

In the exhibition hall, guests can purchase memorable souvenirs or make them on their own at master classes in various areas. Source: planetabelarus.by
