    The Collegiate Church, also known as the Sacred Heart Basilica, is the church of the Hall Convent, founded by Archduchess Magdalena, and was built in 1570.

      Since 1912 there has been a branch of the Daughters of the Heart of Jesus in Hall in Tirol.

      The monastery was founded in 1567 by the Servant of God Archduchess Magdalena of Austria, a daughter of Emperor Ferdinand I, as a convent for women. Her tomb is now embedded in the east wall of the basilica.

      After its profanation in 1783 by Joseph II, the church (a beautiful church in the early Renaissance style with hints of the Gothic style) was solemnly re-consecrated in 1914 thanks to the efforts of the heir to the throne, Archduke Franz Ferdinand, and many other benefactors!
      At that time the sisters received the assignment to pray in a special way for the country of Austria.

      The church is dedicated to the heart of Jesus and Pope Pius X gave it the title of "Basilica minor".

      Now the Daughters of the Heart of Jesus have been fulfilling their ministry of worship and intercession in the Sacred Heart Basilica for more than 100 years and keep the praise of God alive in our world...
