There were also mills in Gadaunern, namely the Hintermann mill, the Toferer mill and the Neureit mill. The only one that survived was the Hintermann mill, also known as the Krug or Tamerl mill, which originally stood on the Gadaunererbach stream, but was built in 2009 as a "mill monument" on the side of the road south of the Gadaunern settlement. It
is an overshot mill, whereby the water flows through a channel around the crown of the wheel onto the mill wheel and the weight of the water absorbed in the cells drives the wheel. Unfortunately, the mill mechanism is no longer fully preserved and is therefore no longer functional.
