    Between deep forests and the Oslofjord lies Oslo, the capital and largest city in Norway with pulsating activity and a unique mix of city life and closeness to nature. It combines innovative architecture and first-class museums with nature experiences. Dynamic Oslo is constantly changing and is one of the fastest growing cities in Europe. In recent years, several new districts with exciting leisure activities and sights have sprung up in the city center. The Barcode – a row of skyscrapers in the Bjørvika district – as well as fascinating landmarks such as the Opera House and the Astrup Fearnley Museum, but also the new Munch Museum and the new National Museum are changing the face and skyline of the city. One of the historically important sights is the Akershus Fortress in the heart of Oslo. It is located on the Akersneset Peninsula
    right on the shore of the Oslofjord. There it shapes the silhouette of the city and stands out as a landmark. Oslo impresses with the special flair of its direct location on the Oslofjord and its proximity to Holmenkollen, a 371 meter high mountain northwest of the city and Mecca of winter sports. The Holmenkollbakken is said to be the oldest ski jump in the world and is Oslo's most visited attraction.
