The Dubhlinn Gardens are a beautiful park located in the heart of Dublin, Ireland, right behind Dublin Castle. It's a great spot to relax and enjoy some green space in the middle of the city.

The Dubhlinn Gardens actually have a lot of historical significance! The park is named after the original 'Black Pool' that was located here centuries ago. It was said to be the site where the Vikings established their first settlement in Dublin in the 9th century.

Today, the park features beautiful landscaping and a number of interesting historical monuments and markers, making it a must-visit spot for anyone interested in Dublin's rich history.

These were laid out on the site of the Dubhlinn (Black Pool in Gaelic), from which Dublin gets its name.

The garden is located on the site of a former body of water in front of the castle. The first settlement in Dublin was probably built nearby.
The Chester Beatty Library is also located there. There is a beautiful view from the roof terrace of the free museum.
