The stately palace we see today was created from a group of houses that were rebuilt and combined in 1532. At the end of the 16th century, it finally acquired its Renaissance appearance.
In 1595, a statue symbolizing justice adorned the new façade. After the installation of the Sovereign Council in 1698, the building underwent various renovations. The current Neoclassical façade is the result of work carried out between 1769 and 1771.

Originally used to establish patrician associations, the building, from 1532 onwards, served as the residence of the magistrate, who had previously been housed in the Koïfhus. Louis XIV visited it during his stays in 1681 and 1683. The Alsace Council, founded in 1657, moved there in 1698.

On the facade of Augustinusstraat, a niche has been created to house a replica of Manneken-Pis. Originally erected for the municipal baths, it was presented to Colmar by the city of Brussels in 1922 in remembrance of the suffering they endured during the German occupation.

This building was rebuilt in 1532 on the adjacent Augustinian cemetery. At the end of the 16th century, it underwent major renovations in the Renaissance style, during which the paintings and epigrams, now lost, adorned the exterior. In 1595, a statue symbolizing Justice graced the new facade. After the Sovereign Council moved into the building in 1698, it was renovated in several phases. Its current Neoclassical facade was created during the work between 1769 and 1771.

Originally, the building served as the meeting place for the Wagkeller patrician family. From 1532 onward, it housed the meetings of the magistrates, who had previously convened in the Merchants' Hall. Louis XIV stayed here during his visits between 1681 and 1683. From 1698, the Sovereign Council of Alsace, established in 1657, convened in this building. The building currently houses the Regional Court.

A niche containing a replica of Manneken Pis has been built into the façade facing Rue des Augustins. This figure, originally located in front of the public baths, was a gift from the City of Brussels in 1922 and is intended to commemorate the suffering endured by both cities during the German occupation.
