The Marienrode monastery was founded in 1125 and has been used as a monastery by various orders over the past centuries. The Benedictines have been at home here since 1988. Fourteen sisters currently live in the Marienrode monastery. The monastic rhythm of life is based on prayer and work and also determines the daily routine in the guest house. All guests are invited to take part in the sisters' prayer times.

The monastery is located in the Neuhof/Marienrode district, just outside Hildesheim on the southwestern outskirts of the city. The monastery grounds include the convent building, two churches and the guest house. The monastery shop invites you to browse leisurely. Religious literature, Christian art, CDs and various monastery products are available for purchase here. In the idyllic garden with pond, you can relax with a view of the water.
