The Guli Pass between Mestia and the Betscho Valley offers not only a wonderful view of the twin towers of the Ushba but a 360-degree panorama over the entire Upper Svaneti. The stage is long but absolutely worth it.

In June we were able to save weight and absorb water on the mountain at the many Querenden streams. Whether the streams later in the summer despite alpine farming are priblemlos drinkable but should be clarified with a guide or locals.

Caminhada

The Guli Pass is the highlight of the hike from Mazeri to Mestia. You should definitely run around so, because the increase of Mazeri is steeper and the descent is also in this direction already in the bones. The best start early, then the chance is greatest that the Ushba has not disappeared in the clouds.
