Baggy Point is an exceptional headland in North Devon, separating Croyde Bay from Morte Bay and Woolacombe Beach. It's a favourite with rock climbers and, if the weather's dry, you're sure to see or hear some below. The views are fantastic on a clear day.

Baggy Point is the impressive headland at Croyde which is renowned for crashing waves and dramatic cliffs. Owned by the National Trust, Baggy Point overlooks Croyde, one of the best surfing beaches in North Devon. It has stunning coastal views, great walks along the South West Coast Path and opportunities to climb, surf and coaster.

It's a must-see destination for anyone visiting North Devon. Baggy's easy access path gives people of all ages and abilities the chance to get out on a rugged headland to enjoy the far reaching views. Close to the beach and slipway, but easy to escape the bustle. For more information visit nationaltrust.org.uk/baggy-point#Overview.

The totem pole, also known as the Coastguard Pole, on Baggy Point once played an important role in training coastguards. It was designed to mimic the mast on a ship, and coastguards would practice firing rope at the mast, and then rigging up a breeches buoy.
