Wengern is one of 4 districts of Wetter. Wengern has a historic center with some listed buildings. These include u.a. the Protestant village church Wengern, the glue box and the Schluck's yard. In the half-timbered house "Mühlchen", the Henriette-Davidis-Museum commemorates the cookbook author Henriette Davidis, who was born and sometimes lived in Wengern. On the site of the former aristocratic residence Haus Dönhoff today stands a listed half-timbered house.

Wengern is a district of Wetter (Ruhr) in the Ennepe-Ruhr district, North Rhine-Westphalia (Germany). Until 1969, the town south of the Ruhr was an independent municipality in the Volmarstein district.
The district corresponds to the district 1350 Wengern, which covers an area of around 6.89 km².[2] Wengern is located in the north-west of the town of Wetter and is surrounded – clockwise from the north – by the Witten districts of Bommern and Annen, the Herdeck districts of Ende and Herdecke, the Wetteran districts of Volmarstein, Grundschöttel and Esborn, and the Witten district of Vormholz.
