When we got to the hut we saw that the hut was still closed, but there was light in the hut. I went in and asked if it was open yet.       The Hochalm refuge is located at an altitude of 2174 m at the foot of the Hochwart in the Southern Stubai Alps in a magnificent panoramic location in the midst of beautiful nature. It is the starting point, refreshment stop and base for mountain tours to the Hochwart, Hohe- and Kleine Kreuzspitze, as well as for the Passeier high trail that leads from the hut on the southern slopes of the Jaufenkamm to the Jaufenpass.
