The current stone church was built in 1876–1877 in a historicizing mixed style based on drawings by the architect Ludvig Hedin. The church has a north-south orientation with choirs to the south and an extended sacristy south of the choir. The church tower with the main entrance is to the north. The tower is equipped with Romanesque sound openings, a tower clock and a high neo-Gothic spire crowned by a cross. The church space has three naves with barrel vaults in the central nave and coffered ceilings in the side aisles. A heating system consisting of 4 iron stoves with pipes was installed in the church. There was also an iron stove in the sacristy. There was a tiled stove in a storage room.

The church was consecrated on September 19, 1877 by Bishop Henrik Gustaf Hultman.

Over the years, the church has undergone several restorations.
