Verden is a tranquil town with a pretty old town and a cathedral with (only) one tower. If you drive over the Aller and the old Aller over the Weser cycle path towards Hoya, a viewpoint comes up shortly after the bridge with a wonderful view of Verden!

The old town of Verden with cathedral and town hall has much to offer. A tour is always worthwhile, especially if there is a market around the cathedral. There are also some inviting cafes and restaurants there.
