After Heubel's death in World War I, the Hamburg architect Robert Struhs continued the conversion work on the manor house in 1919 according to Heubel's designs. The building received the large mansard roof including the "observatory" on the top and the facade design that still exists today.
After the property was transferred to the Bad Oldesloer entrepreneur Friedrich Bölck in 1928/29, he had the mansion v. a. Make changes to the interior.
