In its more than 800-year history it has experienced a lot: 500 years of abbots and almost 200 years of beer brewing have left their mark. A foundation has been responsible for the farm since the mid-1990s. The foundation has set itself the goal of making the Hof zu Wil available to the public as a meeting point for social and cultural encounters.

In addition to the gastronomy, which manages numerous rooms in the Wil courtyard, such as the restaurant on the ground floor, three halls on the first floor, the vaulted cellar in the basement and 2 meeting rooms on the 2nd floor, there is also the city museum and the new city library in the Wil courtyard .
