Bretten-Ruit (kn) The idea for the crab fountain in Ruit came about in the run-up to the 750th anniversary of the Bretten district. At a neighborhood meeting, possible actions in honor of the anniversary were discussed and before you knew it, the idea of building a village fountain was born. The location required for this was also quickly found: the new building was to be located in the center of the village at the bus turning point next to the town hall. Concrete plans for the nature and design of the fountain soon developed from the idea, and the local council quickly gave its approval for the construction.
