Reinbek Castle in Reinbek in southern Schleswig-Holstein was built as one of the ancillary residences of the ducal house of Schleswig-Holstein-Gottorf in the 16th century. It is one of the earliest buildings from the reign of Duke Adolf I and is considered one of the best examples of the Renaissance in Schleswig-Holstein. A nice little hike around the mill pond and the castle Reinbek. It starts right at the castle and leads left through the small park to Ladenstr. Now turn right again and you are to the small path after a hundred meters again right into nature. After a short distance you reach the nature reserve Bille. The path now leads slightly higher and you reach an old road that leads through a landscaped path with bridge and solid stone shingle on the sides. Very rustic, because in the middle of the forest. Finally you reach the street Am Mühlenteich where you quickly reach the bridge in front of the castle. There, the view from the bridge to the dam is worthwhile. Now you are back at the parking lot.
