In the south-western part of the nature reserve lies the deep valley that is popularly known as "Kôrpahålera". The valley gave the reserve its name.

A high vertical rock face rises south of the valley and a slightly lower slope on the north side. The valley was created during the Ice Age by strong meltwater currents when loose material was washed away or removed. This is called the canyon or "scrub" which is the traditional name.

At the bottom of a gorge there is a stream with an amazing variety of mosses, lichens and mushrooms. Here you can hike in the magical jungle, but the terrain is sometimes difficult to access.

Good shoes. Not suitable for prams. Children should be a bit older as the path is steep and difficult in some places.
