The source of the Garather Mühlenbach lies between Solingen-Ohligs and Hilden. It is also called Kalversterzer Bach on its upper course in the Solingen area and flows there 20 meters below a high-voltage line in a pipe. The Galkhauser Bach flows into the Garath Mühlenbach near Garath Castle.
