    Built in 1854 by the Italian Navy, the lighthouse testifies to the historical importance of the place, being part of a series of lighthouses commissioned by Vittorio Emanuele II of Savoy, as evidenced by the wrought iron initials on the entrance door. Today, the lighthouse has been transformed into a five-star hotel, offering from its top a spectacular panoramic view of the entire southern coast of Sulcis.
