The "Beautification Association" in Cottbus, which had existed since 1872, was able to start renovating the jewelry complex on Luckauer Wall between Münzstrasse (today Töpferstrasse) and Klosterstrasse on the site of the former Robel tree nursery in 1905, after consultation with the city. Terraces were redesigned, paths and stairs laid out, boulders distributed as gems. The resulting promenade received a further addition with the newly built Japanese pavilion on November 26, 1906. Last renovations in 2001/02 and upgrading in 2006/09, including with rare quartz slate stones. Architecturally an extremely rare gem, affectionately known by the Cottbusers as "our tea house", is a listed building.
