Subida Lemierser Berg

Short, spicy climb with (unfortunately behind you) a magnificent view of Vijlen and Vaals. Worthwhile to turn around after the top to the Orsbach sign to enjoy the view.

Lemiers is located in both the Netherlands and Germany, but the Lemierserberg starts in the German part. You reach the foot of this slope by crossing the border from the Dutch Lemiers on a narrow path and then turning left. As soon as you make a left turn, the road starts to climb a few percent. However, this is only the beginning. After another almost flat turn, you see the road in front of you going steeply uphill and the climb really starts. There are now 800 meters of 7% with peaks of 12%. A pretty tough climb, where you forget to look left at the view every now and then.
When you see the sign ‘Orsbach’ you are almost there. In the village the slope flattens out until you reach the top at a three-way junction.

Rapid descent towards Lemiers. Cross a narrow bridge at the bottom right. Caution pedestrians!
