Eijsberg Chapel. This is clearly stated on the Natuurpunt sign. But you won't easily find anything about it on the world wide web. However, some volunteers from Natuurpunt were cleaning it because the next day the month of May started and people from the neighborhood, which is located a little lower, come there more often. Processions used to take place every year in May. The chapel is known in Rillaar itself as "the chapel of the Tienbunder". However, the area where it occurred was once known as the Eysberg (and is also indicated as such on the Ferraris map). The walking path in the area is also called the Eysbergweg.

By the way, it is not the only chapel in/on the Tienbunderbos. One of the volunteers asked if I had also seen the Côte d'Or chapel on the other side of the highway that runs nearby and cuts the forest in two. Cote d'Or? You read that right. After all, the Tienbunderbos was once owned by that company. And the chapel? That also exists.
