Not far from here begins the Uhlstädter Heide, an extensive nature reserve. In the forest, the forester leaves the storm and snow break free. There is a lot of deadwood colonized by mosses, mushrooms and beetles. Since 2015, the beaver also helps. Many beech trees have the typical feeding traces.
