      The "Aubachtal bei Langenaubach" stretches along the eponymous Aubache between the towns of Langenaubach and Rabenscheid. The near-natural brook floodplain system comprises a well-developed riparian forest of bird cherry and ash stocks with rare species such as the blue monkshood as well as a varied grassland mosaic made up of tall herbaceous vegetation, reed and sedge swamp communities, flowery wet, fresh and fat meadows that contain a large number of endangered plant species accommodate. In the western slope areas there are species-rich white oat-gold oat meadows, whereas on the steep slopes to the east of the Bachtal valley, near-natural beech forests with lush herb flora of toothwort, woodruff, fox-ragwort and whorl-leaved white root grows.
