The garden of the seventeenth-century Villa Da Lisca, listed as a monumental asset, before the works was equipped with lateral and rear terraces created in recent and different periods with recycled materials without a unified criterion. In somewhat random positions there were also several ancient stone artefacts.

The recovery proposal was to recompose the various parts into a system of paths, terraces and vegetation that would make the use of the spaces pleasant and functional while recalling characteristic elements of the historic Italian garden, trying to favor the visual axes.

We intervened on the short driveway that points to the facade of the villa, reducing its width to give greater perspective depth to the entrance. Then two side paths to the villa were identified which have as their fulcrum to the east the two beautiful stone basins relocated on the surrounding wall and to the west the new terraces connected with new flights of stairs. The upper terrace hosts the sculpture walk, which was given continuity by opening a breach in the wall of the old woodshed and to attenuate the visual impact of the high surrounding wall, arches were created at regular intervals in iron grates covered with ivy which act as a backdrop to the stone finds. An interpretation of the vegetable garden was created with twelve flower beds delimited by natural iron blades, where aromatic plants are grown.
