    The Schilling Bridge offers a wonderful view of the Spree and Berlin. Upstream, you can see the striking Oberbaumbrücke and downstream the Berlin TV tower towers steeply up into the sky. Especially beautiful is the panorama at sunset.

      The Schilling Bridge in Berlin spans the Spree and forms an important connection between the districts of Friedrichshain in the north and Kreuzberg and Mitte in the south. The brick vaulted bridge lies between the Oberbaumbrücke in the east and the Michaelbrücke in the west, extends Andreasstrasse over the Spree and connects Holzmarktstrasse and Köpenicker Strasse, each of which runs parallel to the Spree. The bridge has been a listed building since 1990.

        The Schilling Bridge is one of the oldest bridges in Berlin and was built in 1834. It connects the Mitte district with Friedrichshain and is an important connection between the two parts of the city.

        The bridge was named after the Prussian Minister of War Gerhard von Scharnhorst and was an important traffic route in the city. The bridge was badly damaged during World War II, but was rebuilt in the 1950s.

        The bridge also offers a beautiful view of the Spree and the surrounding districts. I made a video for everyone who wants to enjoy the view from afar:
