The church in Groß Trebbow was built in the 14th century in the Gothic style, making it one of the oldest and listed buildings in the Northwest Mecklenburg district. The wrought iron numbers on the east gable allow conclusions to be drawn about the year the church was completed. It is a single-nave brick building with a polygonal choir end and a series of buttresses. The number and arrangement of the buttresses suggest that the interior was originally intended to be decorated with a Gothic vault. Instead, a flat wooden beam ceiling was installed, which was last renovated in 1841. The extension on the south side is probably a work from the late 17th or early 18th century.
Located in the center of the old village, it stands prominently in the well-kept cemetery. The environment has been excellently designed in recent years through community involvement.
