      The saw was first mentioned around 1540. However, it had been owned by the Fellerer family since 1580 and belonged to the Flintsbach church at the time. Further up the mountain and a few years later, the Nagl family also owned a saw - the Kirchbachmühle - which they unfortunately lost in a tragic rock fall.
      Around 1814 the farmers still had so-called timber rights. This meant that they were only allocated a certain number of logs for the saw to use or sell as lumber. At that time, the castle clerk granted the Kohlhauf-Säge in Brannenburg (today Nagl) the rights for 27 houses - which were 261 pieces of wood.
      1887 was married. A Fellerer daughter, the heiress to the sawmill of the same name in Waching, married a Nagl son. From then on, the Kohlhaufmühle was successfully continued by the Nagls - to this day.
