"The Welser Hütte is a category I refuge in the Wels section of the Austrian Alpine Club in the Upper Austrian part of the Dead Mountains. The Welser hut is located at 1726m at the foot of the Great Priel and the Schermberg and is the ideal base for tours to the highest of the Dead Mountains from the north. It does not matter if it is a normal route, a via ferrata or demanding climbing routes - from here you can do some beautiful tours for all mountain lovers.
