    A wonderful view and distant view above the "Am Hallo" sports complex towards the Zollverein mine and coking plant. From here you can see as far as the Tetrahedron in Bottrop.

    A very beautiful spot at any time of day, especially in the evening when the sun slowly sets on the horizon. You can enjoy this view from two benches set up there.

      From this vantage point you can enjoy a beautiful panorama of the north of Essen. The two listed church towers in the west belong to the Catholic parish church of St. Nicholas in Essen-Stoppenberg. Also on display here are the collegiate church of Mary in Need on the Kapitelberg and the tower of the Protestant Thomas Church. Right next to it you can see the blue-white chimney of the company Trimet. The six chimneys in the north belong to the coking plant of the Zeche Zollverein. It was active from 1861 to 1993 and was one of the most modern coking plants in Europe. Also to see: shaft 12 of the colliery Zollverein and the mountain dump Bullmannaue. The industrial complex was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2001. In the distance are the Ruhr Oel refinery in Gelsenkirchen and the 202 meter high Halde Oberscholven with its two wind turbines. To the east is the natural elevation Hello with its park and cemetery facilities, southeast is the former mine colliery Friedrich Ernestine, today a commercial area.
