    Trinity Church
    In the center of the city is the Catholic Trinity Church, whose choir was built during the tenure of Bishop Matthias of Rammung in 1467. The current church was built mainly in 1716. The Mission Cross, a crucifixion group located near the church, also dates back to the 15th century.

      The church's choir, built in the Gothic style, was built in 1467 during the tenure of Speyer's bishop Matthias von Rammung. The church's roof structure and organ burned down in the great city fire in 1678, after which the church was restored and re-consecrated in 1683. In 1711 the church was too small for the growing population, so it was demolished except for the choir and replaced by a new building in its current form, which was completed in 1716 and consecrated in 1719. In 1779 an organ was purchased from Ferdinand Stieffell in Rastatt. During the French Revolution the church was temporarily secularized. A complete renovation took place in 1878. The church was damaged in the Second World War. The current church windows were created in 1950 by Jean Gaudin from Paris. In the 1970s and 1980s the church was renovated inside and out.

        Before 1320, the parish of Lauterbourg was the subsidiary of Niederlauterbach and services were celebrated in the tower that today supports the bell tower.
        The current choir, in Gothic style, was built in 1474. The nave was enlarged in 1716, a date attested by the inscription above the porch which means "I exist thanks to God, to peace and to the help of the city". The assembly of the capital letters of each of the words forms an accostiche which reveals the date of construction of the building, 1716, in Roman numerals.
        The pulpit dates from 1581 and the ornamental motif formed by interlacing is directly carved into the sandstone.
        The organ built in 1777 by Ferdinand Stieffel of Rastatt has more than 2000 pipes, 2 keyboards, 16 stops and a pedal board. Outside there is a staircase turret providing access to the bell tower and a funerary slab from 1620, the Calvary from 1810 which replaces an old Calvary from 1489. Nearby is the Protestant church, a half-buried temple, which was originally a powder magazine built in 1708.
