The Council Tower of Sibiu (Romanian: Turnul Sfatului) is located in the center of the city of Sibiu (Romania), connecting the two main squares. It was built in the 13th century. The entrance in the tower is on the Small Square.
Currently, the tower is used for various exhibitions and as a viewing point. From the upper level of the tower, the visitor can see the whole city of Sibiu.

The gate in the Sibiu Town Hall Tower marks the transition between the Great Square and the Small Square. Built in the 13th century, probably between 1224 and 1241, it originally served as the entrance gate to the city's second fortification belt. All that remains of the original tower is the core, raised to the height of the first floor. Over time, it has been rebuilt several times, raised and integrated into a group of other buildings. Over the centuries, the tower has had very different uses, serving as a gate tower, grain store, fire station (fire observation point), prison and, at times, even as a museum of natural sciences. Currently, the tower is used for various exhibitions and as a lookout point: from the upper level, visitors can see the entire city of Sibiu and the peaks of the Făgăraș Mountains.
