With a length of 350 m, the Lubminer Seebrücke is truly one of the largest piers in Mecklenburg - Western Pomerania.
Even before the pier was built, there were small moorings for boats and bathers.
However, no larger ships could stop here. That changed in 1928.
With the construction of the first pier it was now possible to reach the seaside resort of Lubmin by steamship.
Whoever wanted to enter the pier had to pay a bridge toll at the beginning.
Over the years, this fee has been integrated into a visitor's tax.
Thanks to the new possibilities, the number of visitors and the curiosity about the small fishing village also increased.
Like many other buildings, the pier did not survive the Second World War.
In 1992 it was decided to build a new pier.
The new pier is much longer than the first and is still today the landmark of the only seaside resort in the Greifswalder Bodden.
