At 153 m, the Klutenberg is the 5th highest peak in the Beckum mountains. You hardly notice that when you look to the west, in the direction of Beckum. Because that's where it falls off easily. To the east and south the descent is much faster.

Interesting facts about this place:

During the Second World War, an anti-aircraft gun position of the Reich Air Force is said to have been located on the top of the Klutenberg. This served to protect the FuSZ 271 radio station of the Luftwaffe from 1935/36 (later Brille-FLAIR) on Mackenberg, which was within sight. At 173 m, the Mackenberg in the northeast is the highest peak in the Beckum mountains.

Nothing can be seen from the FLAK position. However, the bushes lying on the crest are directly associated with it. The first house in the nearby settlement is said to have been built on the foundations of what was then the neighboring bunker for the FLAK crew.
