Martulj Waterfalls (more precisely Martulj Waterfalls) are located in the heart of the Martulj Group above the Gozda Martuljka Valley. Due to its uniqueness, this area, together with the Martuljek Stream, was declared a landscape park in 1949, and since 1981 it has been part of the Triglav National Park. The Martuljek Stream collects most of its water at Za Akom, a gable below Široka Pečja, and on its way into the valley creates the upper and lower Martuljek Waterfalls.

The upper Martuljek Waterfall is more powerful, as it is approximately 100 m high in all four stages. The path to it is mainly forested, but there is a good 250 m difference in height from the log cabin in Jasenje. There are no overhanging walls or the danger of falling rocks along the path. The first jump is 34 m high, the water then flows in troughs, turns perpendicularly and creates a 14 m high waterfall. There is a 5 m step and then the highest 48 m high, which is the only one that is also fully visible. At the bottom there is a pool, the walls over which the stream or waterfall flows are made of Dachstein limestone.

To access it, you have to cross the stream, which often damages the bridge built for this purpose. The last new bridge over the Martuljek stream is metal and slightly higher. The waterfall is already visible on the descent to the bridge, and then the path leads along the scree to the wall, from where the ascent to the waterfall is secured with pegs and a steel cable.
