The Salzmann & Comp location closed in 2012. its doors. The city of Kassel planned to set up a technical town hall there together with the building owner, investor Dennis Rossing. The tenants of the industrial monument therefore had their rental contracts terminated. The association then moved its activities to the Panoptikum in the former Kupferhammer at Leipziger Straße 407. However, the original cultural program can only be realized there to a limited extent.

On January 22, 2016, the city announced that it would have the building secured and bill the costs to Rossing, who then announced legal action. In July 2016, the Kassel administrative court found that Rossing had to secure the building. Since Rossing did not fulfill his obligation, security measures were commissioned by the city.
