The church is likely to have been built in the first half of the 15th century. A renovation took place in 1727, when the tower and nave were raised by means of a half-timbered construction. In 1963 there was an unadorned restoration. In 2004 the repair of the church tower began. The half-timbered lantern had to be completely renewed - only individual beams were in a reusable condition - the spire was repaired and, like the lantern, resurfaced. The three dials of the clock could be restored or renewed. Since 2005, the lantern and spire have been back in the old place with the repaired tower ball and a new weather vane. In the same year, the outside facade of the church was completely renovated and painted. In addition, lead-glazed stained glass windows have been used throughout the building since 2007.
