The Urbeleskarspitze is the second highest peak of the Hornbach Range and the fifth highest of the Allgäu Alps. With its distinctive, trapezoidal summit peak, it clearly emerges from the Hornbach chain both from the north and from the south. Due to its height, it offers a fantastic panoramic view and probably the most beautiful view to the opposite high bird, the king of the Allgäu Alps.
But a trail in the traditional sense does not lead up to the repellent summit structure, which is rocky on all sides. So it is not surprising that on most hiking maps no way up to Urbeleskarspitze is located. Rather, it is a well-marked route through the steep, rocky outcrops, and northwest flank-sided, which mostly runs through brittle and crumbly rock.
This makes the Urbeleskarspitze not a lightweight, but for the experienced and ambitious mountaineer a very rewarding and interesting summit destination.
