Oeschinensee

Fantastically beautiful lake, framed by several two- and three-thousanders. By not too heavy climb, this is a destination for the entire family. You should wear sturdier footwear. Also gastronomy and boat rentals are available.

On hot summer days very populated, as from Kandersteg a gondola goes up. Starting point for high alpine tours, which are really something for sure-footed and height-anxious hikers something. In contrast, there are easier circular walks, which are just busy. Therefore rather low season - if you do not want to swim.
The Oeschinensee is about 1.6 km long and at the deepest point is 56 meters. It flows underground into the Oeschibach.

Fantastic, run up from below, use Heuweg next to the river. From the lake-restaurant away from the beach shoe tourism - beautiful, above clearly less people u unique nature. Recommended, even with a dog.
